Trust & Estate Services
Your legacy is more than something you leave behind. It’s built with intention.

Our approach
Whether you’re rethinking your priorities or planning for your family’s future, our experienced trust and estate team will work closely with you to understand your goals and coordinate a detailed strategy to help you achieve them.
As one of the top 40 largest trust companies in the U.S. based on assets under management, we offer the highest level of fiduciary care. You’ll work with a team of highly credentialed colleagues across wealth planning, investment management and private banking.
We can work with your attorney to develop a plan to protect your legacy for the long term, whether ensuring tax-advantaged wealth transfers and charitable gifting, or establishing professional trustee services to step in when you can’t.
True wealth is worry-free—and with a partner who puts you and your goals first, you can move forward with confidence and peace of mind.

We listen + learn
We start with a conversation, then work closely with you to understand your priorities, family dynamics and long-term vision.
We collaborate + manage your plan
Our trust and estate advisors talk you through a comprehensive, personalized strategy that can help protect your assets, optimize tax-efficient wealth transfers and support charitable giving. We work with our internal specialists as well as your estate planning attorney and accountant to address your needs.

Solutions and services that work for you and your legacy
Personal trust services
Manage investments, provide income for your loved ones or pass along your assets and property with confidence. Associated Bank can also serve as corporate trustee to make sure matters are handled according to the written intent and directions in your trust document.
Retirement planning
The key to enjoying the lifestyle you want during retirement is to create an effective investment plan well before your golden years. Associated Bank Private Wealth can outline the steps you need to take now to realize your retirement dreams.
Estate planning
Careful estate planning can preserve the wealth you’ve worked so hard to build. We can help you implement an estate plan that reduces estate taxes, let you choose a personal representative, establish bequests, provide for heirs, nominate guardians and reduce settlement costs.
Revocable trusts
Set aside assets to pass directly to your beneficiaries, avoiding the delay and expense of probate. You can change or dissolve the trust at any time. We can help manage your taxable assets, and act on your behalf to ensure these funds are still handled according to your wishes.
Irrevocable trusts
Because they can’t be changed once established, these trusts can provide lasting financial support for family needs or philanthropic goals, including for specialized purposes like charitable lead or remainder trusts, credit shelter trusts or special needs trusts.
Corporate trust services
Our Corporate Trust team delivers trusted expertise and responsive service to municipalities, school districts and businesses with escrow, paying agent or trustee needs. Our close partnership ensures reliable oversight, seamless administration and solutions tailored to your financial objectives.
